Camping Piedade

Decent enough campsite. We arrived the day it reopened following a festival. The layout was confusing as it still had pitch markings for the festival stalls. We pitched on the first level - blocks are required. On day 1 we both showered in our motorhome as the water was cold. It was hot enough in the ladies shower the following afternoon but not in the men's. €24.50pn. Elvas is easily visited on e-bikes - especially the Forts and the old town.

The campsite has improved since our last stay, especially the sanitary facilities. The pitches upstairs are level, and some of them are under the trees. We still can't get the camper down below completely level. Nice, helpful man at reception.

Great stay. Stayed 2 nights. Friendly welcome. Reception speaks a little English. We were there at the same time as the ACSI group tour. Unfortunately didn't see any "jeu de boule" 😂 The small restaurant serves many tasty local dishes at a reasonable price. We ate there twice. Today a large organized group of French campers arrived. In short, a great stay.
