Camping Arrien

A very friendly welcome. The pitches on the grass above are fine, but the bottom is rather muddy. The beach is around the corner. Plentzia (where the harbor is) is the place to be, not Gorliz (where the campsite is). The sanitary facilities are quite old, but the water is nice and warm.

This campsite is in a fantastic location, close to the beach, and you can actually get to Bilbao in no time. We arrived on a very busy weekend and there was practically no room left, but we were invited to check if we could find one, and we did! We had a great time for two nights and were able to visit our friends in Gorliz. We do think the sanitary facilities are in dire need of renovation; they were not hygienic or fresh, which is a shame!

The campsite was full when we arrived. We were still assigned a slightly lopsided pitch in a field at the back. Reservations weren't possible. The campsite has a nice atmosphere and friendly owners, but be aware that you'll be very close together. The sanitary facilities are ok. The bus/metro to Bilbao is great!
