Camping Sopelana - Camping is open!

One star is justified for the location. About 20 minutes to Bilbao, within walking distance of the surfer beach, and relatively close to the supermarket. Otherwise: mostly very unfriendly staff, grumpy reception. Showers were cold, and when asked if they could be made warmer, nothing was done. The restrooms have no doors; incredibly cold in bad weather. The dirty bathroom wasn't cleaned for a week. €41 in the off-season is a complete joke!

We stayed here for three nights at the beginning of October. The selection of campsites near Bilbao is extremely limited – hence, presumably, the rather high price for the very small pitches! The sanitary facilities were very good, and it was a short walk to the beach, the train station (for travel to Bilbao), and the supermarket. Recommended for a visit to Bilbao – but it is expensive!

An extremely unpleasant reception, almost aggressive! I'm disabled and asked to see the facilities. No way, absolutely not, and I had to pay for two spaces because my trailer with a wheelchair took up space. The service in the restaurant was also unpleasant. The spaces are small and expensive. In short, I'd look elsewhere!
