Camping El Toro Azul

The campsite looks neat; we paid 36 euros (!) in the off-season. A train roars past every fifteen minutes, and the pitches are on the sand. Not so pleasant in the rain. This campsite has a checkmark on the Campercontact app, but we think that's a bit excessive. Otherwise, it's fine.

A well-maintained campsite that's quiet and very affordable in the off-season. A spacious dump station is located at the front and center of the sanitary building, with large washing machines and dryers that you can pay for by card or phone. There's also a beautiful swimming pool with a sunbathing area, including loungers and parasols. Below reception, by the pool, is a bar where you can buy fresh baguettes and other items in the morning. Above reception is a reasonably good Italian restaurant. Excellent!

Great campsite for a stopover and a visit to Barcelona. We stayed for two nights and paid €104, including electricity. The train passes by the campsite regularly, but it didn't really bother us. We took the train to Barcelona via the station in Canet de Mar, a 50-minute ride. It's about a 15-minute walk to the station via the beach. We arrived back at the station after 11:00 PM and walked back along the road, so be careful. There were no taxis available.
