Busparking Abadia de Montserrat

To park near the monastery everyone has to take a ticket to get through the barrier. there is lots of parking approaching the main entrance but none is very flat. campers are welcome to stay on the flat bus parking areas between 7pm and 7am. when you leave, take the manual exit lane and you will be charged Euro 22.50. super convenient and perfect for hiking access. only 2 vans when we stayed

Bus parking DIRECTLY at the monastery. Can be used when the buses have left, around 5:30 p.m. You can stand there until 8 a.m., then you have to use a car park. No problem at that time. For us that would be 200 m. DO NOT pay at the machine, but take the "Manual" lane at the exit. Then it costs €20 instead of the bus fee €80! Basilica and Madonna (own entrance) can be visited from 8 - 1030 and then again from 1230.

We have been here for 2 nights in early November. We did not know that we should have paid and therefore did not pay anything. We did take the cog railway to Montserrat. Very worthwhile. The next morning we walked through the old village center and did some shopping in a small supermarket. Also fresh bread.
