Kalmar Camping Rafshagsudden

We spontaneously stayed one night; the site is well-maintained and really lovely! Showers and toilets were clean. We booked a basic pitch through the website for the night, but unfortunately, it was situated on a steep slope and not ideal for our campervan! Next time, I would pay the extra €10 for a level pitch. The site is very nice if you're traveling with children. Showers are free if you book through the website.

Beautifully situated large campsite with spacious pitches by the water and lovely views. Pitch 244 is the best spot for the evening sun. Sanitary facilities are very clean. Showers require a PIN code (SEK 6 for 3 minutes). A limited restaurant/bar and small shop are available. Kalmar is 18km away and easily accessible by bike. The price is steep: SEK 1330 for 2 days including electricity. This was during midsummer, though, and booking directly required a minimum of 3 days. Booking 2 days was possible via the Campingation website.

Beautifully situated campsite where almost all pitches have a view of the water. Very quiet in June. Sanitary facilities, shop, and Wi-Fi are good. Cycling to Kalmar (a nice town) is doable, but the bike ride doesn't add anything. Alternatively, you can park your camper at one of the large parking lots near the shopping center and cycle from there to the castle and town center. There are few walking opportunities because the campsite is located at the end of a headland.
