The Shepherd Rest

The pitch was excellent, and the food was also excellent. The showers were dirty and moldy, and there was no heat or cold control on the tap. The shower tray was overflowing, and the light went out during showering. The toilet was dirty and covered in feces in all the toilets.

The camper spots are great but otherwise it was very basic, the toilet worked but the shower was either boiling hot or ice cold. We went to the pub because you can eat there. Unfortunately, there was no cooking on Monday, despite the signs in front of the door indicating this. And all this for the hefty price of almost €35 per night.

great place to visit Alnwick and the fantastic bookshop Barter Books. minimal sanitary facilities but sufficient.
