Hoburne Blue Anchor

We were afraid that this would be a large-scale and therefore busy location, but that turned out to be much better than expected: the camper pitches are clearly separated from the static caravans and the like. Good facilities for emptying grey water and the toilet. Also great for an evening stroll along the boulevard. Online reservations are possible. We were very satisfied.

Stayed 2 nights. Sanitary facilities were okay. Shower temperature could not be adjusted, nor could the water pressure. We suffered a lot from the enormous sea wind. Not much to do. The beach was full of stones and almost inaccessible. The restaurant was bad. The indoor pool is nice. We were able to take a good coastal walk to Dunster, though. This can also be done well by bike. A steam train also runs almost right across the campsite; the station is around the corner.

Large holiday park with mobile homes and a separate field for tourers. Fine for a night. Good toilet facilities, but few for so many places on the touring field. £20 pn 2p incl electric.
