beautiful campsite overlooking the lake. Never experienced such a large campsite in terms of surface area before. Perfectly quiet huge place. Ideal for those seeking tranquility and with Stamford as a beautiful old town about 12 km nearby, also for culture buffs. Keep in mind that there is no electricity and private sanitary facilities are required. whatever toilets were present was locked. In addition, great walking distances on this 135 acres (55 ha) property.

not booked in advance, arrived there but a few places occupied, plenty of room. called manager, had no place, everything fully booked. later cycled past again, plenty of room. Willem apparently earning nothing. drove to the sailing school there was enough space and cheaper. otherwise a nice place to enjoy water sports. have cycled around more, 30 km. busy but cozy environment. put money in bag at entrance. 11 pounds a night.

Beautiful campsite with several fields with a view. very friendly welcome by administrators couple. Find your own place min. 6 m away. Fields overlooking the lake are “busier” on weekends. elsewhere than still seas of space. Nice atmosphere ! Next to birdwatching center.
