Shaw Ghyll caravan and camping

On our way through the Dales, we chose this campsite through CamperContact. The access road was very steep and narrow; upon arrival, there was no reception or way to contact us. There was a notice on the gate: "by appointment only"; unfortunately, this wasn't mentioned anywhere. Turning around on this path at 7.50 meters is painstaking.

A nice, simple campsite with excellent sanitary facilities. It's a shame you have to pay £0.50 for a shower. You do need to book by email, as there's no reception. Upon arrival, you have to pay cash to the manager. The campsite is great for walking. Definitely visit the Green Dragon, where time seems to have stood still.
