great location for an overnight stay to get to the ferry quickly! Had a great night out with the locals with live music at The Grapes in Stranraer Fri 13-6-25

Practical parking lot without services for overnight stays and parking on the beach. Sandy beach right next to the parking lot.

Perfect stopover for the early morning ferry from Cairnryan. Lots of lorries but plenty of parking available. Remarkably quiet overnight. Woken up about 0530 with the sound of passing traffic - so that wasn't too bad. It is quite exposed, but even the wind didn't bother us - we've had worse!
