Very beautiful campsite, just outside the village on a hill. Stunning view over the village. Easily accessible. Sanitary facilities are good and clean. Nice terrace/restaurant, where local products (olive oil and honey) are also for sale. Excellent pizzas in the restaurant. We stayed there for one night in mid-June at the end of the weekend. It was wonderfully quiet. Definitely recommended for a longer stay to visit Parque Nacional de Cabañeros. Joost

I stayed here for two nights two weeks ago. What a beautiful, atmospheric campsite this is in a stunning setting. Very clean and nice sanitary facilities. Las Arenas is a nice little town with nice eateries. It's a shame the weather turned, otherwise I certainly would have extended my stay. Joost

This is a city campsite with plenty of shade and, indeed, a stadium across the road. So you know it can be noisy and you shouldn't complain about that. I stayed here last June 11th. There was already a problem with the hot water back then, by the way, but well, it is camping. The sanitary facilities were spotless, though. It was quiet there (at the time), and I find it a pleasant transit campsite. Guardia is surprisingly charming. Joost

A great campsite for a visit to Cáceres. What a beautiful and pleasant city that is! A 20-minute walk, which I read in one of the reviews, seems unlikely to me, but I managed it on a regular bike via the red cycle path. The private sanitary facilities offered no added value for me and were very hot and stuffy at 32 degrees Celsius. No windows can be opened. The swimming pool, on the other hand, was very nice for cooling off and was indeed busy with the local population.

Nice campsite for visiting the city. Friendly staff, clean sanitary facilities, and plenty of shady spots. You can reach the city center in 25 minutes by (regular) bike via a flat cycle path along the water. Joost

The best thing this campsite has to offer is direct access to the beach! The noise from the trains is not too bad. It is not a very atmospheric campsite. Be prepared for very sandy spots and sticky stuff coming off the trees. The sanitary facilities were clean, but the shower water ran through all the shower stalls (in the men's area). A fine campsite for an overnight stay and a lovely sea. Joost

I gladly second the previous reviews. What a lovely campsite this is, especially with the current weather conditions (37 degrees Celsius). Lots of shade and a nice, refreshing swimming pool. Nice outdoor terrace with good food and delicious wine and craft beers. You can reach the old town in 12 minutes by (regular) bike. Super! Joost

It seems like a very promising place to me, but unfortunately I received no response to my email or my phone call on the spot (to a closed gate). Better luck next time! Joost

Undoubtedly a very nice campsite, also in terms of location, but booking well in advance seems advisable. In late May/early June, it was already impossible to reserve a spot a day in advance. Joost

I would like to second the previous reviews. It is a charming campsite, beautifully situated (within cycling distance of Liège), very quiet, and with very good facilities. Furthermore, there is a cozy terrace with craft beers and delicious pizzas. We were just passing through, but booked an extra night. Joost

Beautiful, small-scale, and sheltered campsite in an ideal location between Den Burg and Oosterend. The sanitary facilities are excellent and spotlessly clean. A friendly welcome, too. Joost

What a surprisingly beautiful campsite. We were just passing through, but would have liked to stay longer. A beautiful area. Not far from the main road, but still the feeling of the middle of nowhere. Indeed no shops nearby, but a fairly well-stocked camping shop, a restaurant and on the terrace special beer from the area. Highly recommended! Joost

This still seems to be a great CP, as described in previous reviews. Facilities are still available. Too early for us to stop, but I could definitely stay here for a night. Joost

Great CP for a visit to Grenada. There is nothing to do in Marcarena itself. There is a small supermarket. The centre of Grenada and Albaicin can be reached by bike in half an hour. Grenada is not a cycling city, but it is easy to do. The tram stops a few hundred metres from the CP. Facilities are okay. It is clean and everything works. I think there are a few toilets and showers when it is full. Joost

Great place for a visit to Valencia, which can be reached by bike within 30 minutes. Don't expect too much of the ambiance, but the place is safe and has super clean sanitary facilities. The manager José is very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended. Joost
