Friendly welcome, always interesting to park in a working boatyard. However the big news is that on Thursday 26th May they will be opening a 60 (I think that is what he said) place automatic-pay dedicated aire on the left as you go in.

A well situated and laid out Aire. We were there off- season, plenty of room. The baker comes in the morning. there is a patch of land just before it, some MoHos on that too.

Close enough to the lovely and interesting town to be able to comfortably walk (or cycle) in. Unusual and welcome to have such a good aire that is quiet and close. Thanks to the town.

The sign seems to say that the area is only open on certain days, but a Motorhomer said he regularly used it. There are shops, canalside bars, and restaurants a very short walk away. The parking itself is fairly level, but it is an untended area so we fiddled about till we were in a level position. Right alongside the canal, it is a very peaceful place to spend a night. Worth a look.

The official aire, in the centre of town, is very pleasant - the parking looks like it is for cars only, which all disappear at the end of the day. We were told to go to a car park by the lake, where overnight parking was tolerated off-season, and that the restriction barriers were removed. Much more agreeable, he said. The central one has patisserie, traiteur and bar, the other is further away.
