Large campsite. Good common area with cooking facilities. Lawn field with gravel spots for camper/caravan field: has drainage problem. There is a separate field for tents. Sanitary facilities: few toilets. Shower is included in the price. Price: 3500 ISK small camper and 1 pppn, 1500 ISK for 2nd person, 1000 ISK electricity. Nice administrators.

Large campsite with mini-market and bistro. Lawn. Sanitary facilities: toilets and shower (included in price). Common room with cooking facilities. Washing machine and dryer (included in price). Swimming pool nearby. Starting point for several walks. Pppn 1950, for multiple nights 1750. Plus tax. We paid 4963 for one night. Great campsite.

Large campsite, lawn, nice and flat. Price 1500 pppn plus 300 tax. Good common area with cooking facilities. Sanitary facilities: only toilets, modern and clean. Washing machine, 400 ISK. No tumble dryer but good washing lines. Get water for campers/caravans from the church at the campsite. Beautiful walk on the hill above the church. We liked it!

Grass field, large parts on a slope, just look for a straight spot. Toilets and washing up at the campsite, shower at the pool (in the hotel), costs 500 ISK. Report to hotel reception for payment. Natural spring next to the campsite, nice and warm. Walks around the campsite. We had glorious weather for two days.

Multiple fields. Simple sanitary facilities, no shower. Swimming pool is nearby and I can recommend everyone to indulge in the Icelandic bath culture, really wonderful (even if it costs the entrance to the swimming pool). Camping Card, so I don't know the rates.

Campsite with partly grass field (for tents), partly gravel and partly gravel with artificial grass over it. Cozy large greenhouse where accommodation is possible. Sanitary facilities in order. Costs: 2500 ISK pppn, 1500 for electricity. Owner also sells free-range eggs, delicious!

Campsite on the edge of the village. Pay at the golf club, where there is also a washing machine and dryer (1000 ISK together) and a heated lounge. It's useful to pay attention to the wind when you choose your spot, as the wind can be strong (here too). Toilet building is modern and clean. We did not use the outdoor showers, we prefer to go to the swimming pool (even though it costs entrance, 1200 ISK pp). Camping costs 1600 ISK pp and electricity costs 1300 ISK.

Large campsite, partly gravel, most of it lawns. Modern and clean sanitary building, shower included in price. It was busy and we estimate that there were at least 200 guests, so 6 ladies' toilets are not really many. Same problem with the men because urinals were closed. Fantastic place for walks, plenty of choice (next to the popular Skaftafoss) and well signposted and documented.

Large campsite with several fields. First campsite we see that has more than one toilet building, we visited two: neat and clean. Lots of gravel for campers, grass for tents. Wifi in community room, pleasantly furnished. Several restaurants in the town itself, we visited the pizzeria and found it cozy and good.

Beautiful community room, it was cold, windy and raining, so the room was full. Modern and clean sanitary facilities. We didn't take electricity, so no judgement. Located almost on the N1, trucks could sometimes be heard. After a night of heavy rain, large puddles at the campsite. 4500 ISK without electricity.

great campsite! Because: nice sanitary facilities, clean, pleasant communal area, beautiful surroundings, lovely walks, washing machine and dryer available. recommended!

Camping is in the middle of the village, next to the Guesthouse. Lawn with adequate measures against wind, we were wonderfully sheltered. Toilet, shower included, hot dishwashing water available in the toilet. Camping Card. Next to the campsite there is a restaurant of which we saw good reviews, unfortunately it was closed that day (Tuesdays).

Fantastic place! View is endless and very beautiful. You drive and think: where is this going and suddenly you are there. The campsite itself is okay, sanitary facilities according to the Icelandic model (you have a pot and you have a lock). Pay for showers separately. No hot water for washing up. Living room with cooking facilities, we did not use it. What about the restaurant: delicious food! Camping Card.

Simple camping. Gravel pitches for campers. Sanitary building with heated shower/toilet. The ladies do have overdue maintenance, the lamp does not work, among other things. I didn't think it was really clean, which is also due to work that brings in (black) sand. A living space is being constructed. Takes camping card. Costs otherwise: 1200 ISK pppn and 1300 electricity. Close to a beautiful route to Stórikarl, challenging gravel road.

Beautiful campsite, excellent sanitary facilities and clean. Walks from the campsite, manager has information. Tapping water for the camper caused some problems, the manager did everything he could to solve it.

Placing a camper on the field by the fjord, really beautiful. Not many sanitary facilities here either, but you can of course go to the swimming pool (for a fee). Living area where accommodation is possible.

Great campsite for a camper. Few sanitary facilities, only toilets, but they are spotless. Are maintained by the pool manager. You have to pay separately for the hot pod there (like everywhere in Iceland), it was quite too hot for us, more than 40 degrees. Tip; Had a nice meal in Vegamot restaurant, and for a good price by Icelandic standards.

A campsite after our own hearts. Everything is there: living room, shower and toilet. Beautiful. Located next to a hotel where you can eat or drink something. Yes, the road there is certainly not a highway, but it was doable for us. We had dry weather, which may have made a difference.

A wonderful place for bird watchers. Plenty of views from the campsite and waking up in the morning to a beautiful concert. The campsite is nicely laid out, very clear places. Sanitary facilities are very poor: only 2 toilets and they could really use some soapy water. Very friendly manager.

Excellent campsite, ground can become very boggy in bad weather. We were here in June, after bad weather. Sanitary building excellent and clean and nice user space. Only point to note: for 2 people you pay 4900 ISK per night and on top of that for amenities. That is quite more expensive than other campsites. Fortunately, the camping card does apply.

Were here in June, good weather. Good soil, but I can well imagine that with a lot of rain it will become very muddy here. Sanitary facilities were sufficient, moderately clean. It's always nice to have a place to stay, nice to meet other travelers. The manager lives on site and is super enthusiastic and friendly.

Very good sanitary facilities, sufficient and clean. Washing machine, dryer. Fantastic place for beautiful walks. Visited in good weather, during the week in June. Not busy, not at all if you don't use electricity. Without electricity the campsite costs 5000 ISK per night, plus 333 ISK tax.

We also have a Camping Card and therefore have no real insight into the real prices that are being asked. But it is clear that Icelandic campsites are not cheap and have far fewer facilities than in Europe. We had a fantastic shower and bath in the hot tub in the village (1200 ISK per person). At the campsite we actually only use the toilet and washing up facilities.

We were here in bad weather, all the lawns were soggy. It was no problem at all to place the bus on gravel and there are about 10 special camper pitches. Sanitary facilities are fine by Icelandic camping standards: 2 showers and 3 toilets for D and H. Lovely community room, nice and warm and you can also cook there. Washer and dryer. Camping card.

If you take into account that Icelandic campsites are often austere, this is a great austere place. Two toilets and a sink for washing up, that's all. It worked well for us. Owner came by to pay, but we have a camping card. So don't know the rate.
