Charming, homely small campsite run by a welcoming family. Good sanitary facilities. Washing machine and dryer available. Spacious pitches, Wi-Fi, and a delicious little restaurant. Ideal for walking the dog through the expansive olive grove. It's a shame it's on a busy road, but after a while you don't hear it anymore. An incredibly hospitable welcome from Matilde. We paid €28 per night for a caravan for 2 people and 1 dog with an SVR card.

For us, the most fantastic place in Portugal. Everything has been thought of: washing machine, dryer with clotheslines, etc., both indoors and outdoors. Perfect bathroom facilities, a cozy cafe where Billy prepares a meal every day. Carpeting for the caravan, stunning views, and opportunities for walking and cycling. We stayed here for over three weeks and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves despite the inclement weather. Helena makes you feel at home. Shamwari means "my friend," how fitting!

An outdated campsite with small pitches but clean sanitary facilities and a friendly, helpful welcome. The on-site restaurant serves delicious Portuguese dishes, which you can also order for takeaway. Porto Covo is a very pleasant and especially clean seaside resort with lovely hiking trails, but within a few years it will become a large holiday village due to construction going on everywhere. This campsite is worth a visit for a few days enjoying the rugged coastline. €26 for a caravan, car, 2 people, and a dog.

What a paradise, a terraced campsite that exudes tranquility. A very comprehensive information folder was provided upon arrival. A friendly welcome; you immediately feel at ease. Beautiful surroundings with plenty of cycling and hiking opportunities. Good sanitary facilities, and they're working hard to modernize everything. You can take your dog straight into the woods. We stayed here for nine days and moved on because of the weather, but this is a campsite to remember. Highly recommended!

Perfect sanitary facilities, fully equipped. There are even laundry baskets for guests' use. Heated swimming pool. Maneuvering can be difficult for large campers. The pitches are large enough for an average caravan and car. Beautiful surroundings: sea, beach, and mountains. Ideal for walking and cycling. A supermarket is nearby. This is our third time here. The pitches are close together, but there are plenty of opportunities to create some privacy.

Nice place! Very hospitable reception. All touring pitches are on the water, very beautiful. Terrace, reception, showers and waste containers are upstairs, for that you have to climb a staircase, which may be quite a climb for people who have difficulty walking. Furthermore, neat sanitary facilities and plenty of walking and cycling opportunities. Moderate WiFi. Beautiful area. There is a busy road on the other side of the campsite, but that should not spoil the fun. Bread roll service!!!

Beautifully situated campsite with good facilities. Friendly welcome. Water and electricity on site. Snack bar was now closed, but we were here in June and had a delicious fish and chips meal. Supermarket and bakery around the corner. Situated on a park with a pond, geese and playground. Spacious pitches separated by hedges. Great spot. Wifi only at the reception. We paid with ACSI €18.20. Recommended.

Nice campsite with hospitable Dutch/Belgian management couple. There is a lot of overdue maintenance and renovation necessary. That is being worked on. Very good wifi. However, we found 22 € quite expensive, compared to other campsites, for what is offered.

We were here in December on the outward journey to Portugal and now again on the return journey. Very nice and friendly campsite, hospitable reception, friendly people around us. Beautiful forest behind the campsite for walking. Part of the sanitary block is open in the winter but it is also nice and warm, good showers, everything clean and tidy. No WiFi but lots of bird sounds!! In short: very nice place, one to remember.

Our caravan mover was broken and therefore it was difficult to park at the designated spot. but was no problem, we were immediately assigned 2 alternative spots and were also offered help to place the caravan. The latter was not necessary, fortunately, very customer friendly. It is a steep slope upon arrival. Recommended!!!

Beautiful location, nature reserve "on the doorstep". Access via large gate, there is a QR code on it, you can pay via this code. This must be done within 2 hours of arrival. The gate can simply be slid open, this is not entirely clear. The manager is present around 6 pm. Shower with a bracelet. Excellent sanitary facilities. Great view. The WiFi did not work at the moment. We paid with promotion 21 € per night. Recommended!!!

what a disappointment regarding the price. The sanitary facilities are sober, very small places, 4 ampere electricity, no Wifi ... I assumed about 15 € but it turns out to be 30 !! After consultation with the federation we got a 4 € discount. ACSI card is not valid in this period. For 2 people, caravan, car and dog !!! Sanitary facilities are clean, very friendly staff and a beautiful environment. Attention: very steep slope !! Too bad this ..

We have been here for over a week. Excellent campsite, good and clean facilities, beautiful view. Plenty of walking opportunities. Close to town. Joris knows everything about the area. The market in Estremoz and the coffee roastery of Delta are very worthwhile. In short: this place is definitely recommended!!

Nice place, lots of animals, literally, around you. Chickens, peacocks, geese, cats, sheep and 1 dog all living together in harmony. Very special experience, the space, the orchard you are standing in, the surroundings to walk. A very special experience. A "zen" paradise.

For us a 10 star campsite, everything has been thought of. Perfect sanitary facilities that are constantly cleaned. Waste bins everywhere, which are changed every day. Dog poop bags hang everywhere. There is even a dog shower. Multiple service places. Washing and drying machines always nearby. Choose your own spot. Recommended is "the Fisherman-trail" for walking, it is really beautiful. Extremely friendly and hospitable staff. Top spot!!

Very nice campsite in the middle of nature. Friendly reception. Terrace campsite with good sanitary facilities, nicely laid out with bridges and paths. A private water source. Every day the baker comes with delicious bread rolls and snacks. We had problems with our mover, via the manager Daniël from Keycamperservice came to have a look, we drove to him with our caravan and.. made! Enough walking opportunities. 15.50 € caravan, 2 pers and dog. 16 ampere

great campsite for an overnight stay on the way south. Friendly welcome, paved area. Sanitary facilities a bit outdated but clean and functional. We were with the caravan, 2 people and a dog. Lidl nearby, near the highway, excellent WiFi, 10 amps, wooded with walking opportunities. Lots of bird sounds and some noise from the quarry, but a great place. We were here in December on the way there and now on the way back. Happy with this campsite.

The park behind the campsite is ideal for dog owners, with plenty of walking opportunities and a dog walking area. We stayed here for 3 nights with ACSI for 20 euros per night. On Saturday it became very busy with campers. So be sure to make a reservation on the weekends!!

Excellent! We were with the caravan. Everything is well organized here, clean and well maintained. Many hiking opportunities. Restaurant and swimming pool at the campsite were closed. Great transit spot. 25 euros per night. No shower coins.

Location of this campsite is beautiful!! Very friendly atmosphere and spacious places, choose your own. The toilets, however, are mediocre and in need of maintenance. Everything is clean. The showers are wonderful, there are 4 washing machines, shop, bread service and delicious pizza. Beautiful surroundings. Definitely worth it!!!

The caves on the campsite and the vegetable garden are impressive. Products from our own garden for sale. And of course the restaurant where they cook with only local products. Supermarket nearby. Nice excursions in the area. Top location!!

we had a spot downstairs, close to the sea. Beautiful view, very spacious place. We were allowed to find out for ourselves. Peace and quiet, the campsite is located on a dead end road, so no traffic. Good sanitary facilities, beautiful surroundings. Excellent hiking opportunities. Very helpful reception. Also opportunities for rock climbing, even now in February. Swimming pool, restaurant were closed. Well-maintained green environment. Highly recommended. We were here for 10 days, wonderful!!

Ideal starting point for a visit to Pompeii, Vesuvius and Naples. We paid 29 euros (25 with Acsi + 4 tourist tax??) with caravan, car, 2 people and 1 dog. Place under the orange trees, so you have to take the height into account. But there is a second camping field with sufficient space that is only open in high season. It is in the middle of the city, next to the railway and the highway, so it is noisy. Sanitary facilities are fine.

large campsite, choose your own place. some deferred maintenance here and there. Sanitary clean but everything made of stainless steel. From the campsite you look at the dunes. The surroundings make up for everything, the sea is across the street, the campsite is located on a pond and on the other side of the road is a beautiful lake that you can walk or cycle around. Seaside resort is a 5-minute walk away with a supermarket and various restaurants. We paid 13.50, very cheap for this location.

the 1st impression looks a bit messy, but it is a great place, neat sanitary facilities, beautiful walking environment, nice winter residents, friendly and hospitable staff. Baker comes by in the morning. No problems with noisy dogs in the area. A train passes by about 8 times a day, but you hardly notice it. Recommended.

just a lovely place, a paradise for fishermen, I think. electricity and water at the site. Find a place yourself and, very important in this weather: plenty of shady places to sit. There is still an emergency sanitary facility, but it is clean and there will be a beautiful sanitary facility. Dogs are of course allowed to swim, taking into account the fishermen. I agree with the review below. I do have an addition: the road to the beach is about 30 minutes walk along the asphalt road, there is no footpath. so doesn't feel safe. it is a nice beach.

sometimes you come to a place you don't want to leave, beautiful place, hospitable welcome from Helena, David and the dogs. unforgettable view. beautiful village of Alcotim on the border river is easy to cycle. and also to walk via hiking route Gr13 and Gr15, tough but very beautiful, about 10 km. washing machine is not there yet but Helena even offers to do the laundry. clean sanitary facilities, bar with beautiful terrace, they have only been open for 6 months and already a "gem".

behind the chalets there is a large field for motorhomes. spacious pitches, stunning views, 10ampere, within walking distance to the historic town of Olite, private sanitary facilities for the campers, you get a key to a unit with toilet, sink and shower, sometimes you share this unit with other motor home owners. There is also a large sanitary block on the camping site, which is somewhat outdated. we were here at the end of january. ideal to discover this region.
