"Actually, we were on our way to another finca recommended to us by the Owner of a motorhome stopover near Barcelona. However, we mistook the name and ended up at the neighbours, Don and Andrea. They would only open in a few days, but they welcomed us warmly and gave us a very nice site in their olive grove. Super! Highly recommended." - Francet
Highly recommended for anyone who loves peace, space and nature. Situated on the edge of the Ebro Delta, this place is a paradise. Everything is so spacious that you almost forget you are at a motorhome stopover.
"The west coast of Denmark is surprising. It starts in Skagen where the 2 seas literally collide. Descending along the coast every evening, is a joy with sunsets if you are lucky and there are only few clouds". - Max
Here you will find the most beautiful motorhome stopovers and campsites, nestled between the Ringkøbing Fjord and the North Sea. Guaranteed beautiful sunsets here. Do you choose one of the many sites near the harbour? Or prefer something further away at the beachside campsite?
"We spent a few nights at I Cavalli, a free site on the high plateau, the Piano Grande, in Monte Sibillini in the Marche. The weather changes constantly and at night it is really dark, allowing you to see a lot of stars. Walking to Castelluccio, on the hill behind the motorhomes, it was destroyed by the 2016 earthquakes. "Impressive landscape!" - Joan
A remarkable sight, a line of motorhomes in a row amidst the vast plain of Castelluccio. The off-grid motorhome stopover is located next to a horse riding center with horses, donkeys and cows.
Tip: in spring it is even more spectacular with all the wildflowers in bloom.
"During the two days we parked at this beautiful site in southern England, our vintage Ford Transit (40 years old) ended up submerged in water up to its wheels during spring tide. It was a remarkable sight as we sat in our folding seats more or less at the tide of the nature reserve. Two hours earlier, we had set out for a walk and upon returning home, we were surprised to see how quickly and high the water had risen due to spring tide. " - Michiel
With views of Isle of Wight, this is a a stunning location. Be cautious of the spring tide as you may risk getting your feet wet when getting in and out. The long, slightly narrow road is a popular spot so you will never be alone. You can enjoy a refreshing walk on the beach here.
"Totally unexpectedly, we arrived here after a rainy day and ended up staying here for 2 days. After a week full of rain we had 2 beautiful days at a fjord with views that speak volumes. Norway is a fantastic camping country." - Ronnie
A wonderful place to recharge your batteries. Here by the fjord, surrounded by the mountains, you feel the grandeur of Mother Nature and how small we actually are. The motorhome stopover is also a great starting point for several long and short hikes in the area.
"Lovely in the polder close to Schoonhoven, where only local traffic is allowed, it is wonderfully quiet. Especially in spring where the orchard is full of blossom." - Corrie
You won't find ik much quieter than here at Vlisterhoeve. After all, only local traffic is allowed here. You overlook a beautiful polder landscape complete with sheep, a windmill and an idyllic little river. Here you can cycle to your heart's content in the area and then relax by the motorhome with a view more beautiful than television.
Tip: get daily fresh milk from the milk tap and don't forget the vending machine with local products.
"We move on after every two days at a motorhome stopover. On slow roads, with two bikes on the back. In search of new adventures!" - Edith
You have to navigate plenty of hairpin bends to get there, but it's worth it. At almost 2000 m high, you get a view that takes your breath away. That is, if it is clear. Because waking up in the clouds has its own mystical beauty. You might be surprised to find sheep arround your motorhome if the shepherd is nearby.
"The site of the old abandoned railway station has been completely renovated. With a beautiful new motorhome stopover. Many old details have been preserved in the design of the site. It's a place with a story and you can enjoy beautiful walks here. " - Marianne
The motorhome stopover is fortunately brand new, but the surroundings transport you back in time. This train station is one of the largest in Europe and was built to connect France and Spain. On the terrain, you will see remnants of the old train station everywhere and the area is great for hiking. It's a wonderful blend of old and new at this flat parking area.
Tip: Got something to celebrate? Canfranc-Estacion is known for its gastronomy. There are many restaurants, some offering traditional Aragonese menus, at great prices.
