Aire de Camping-Car le Platin

Great location for cycling around the island and crossing the bridge to La Rochelle. So central. Close to each other, but right on the beach. Great for two days to see everything.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The entrance at the barrier worked well (Dutch instructions), the exit also went smoothly. The great bakery with lunchroom is 600 m away, with toilet! Bike rental 400 m away. We like the east side of the island better because of the picturesque harbours.

Beautiful place and campsite right by the sea. Sanitary facilities old but well maintained. Campsites large and some with sea views
