Even though they were still open on the last weekend, it was very busy. Everyone was perpendicular to each other, but that was fine for one night. We had a delicious meal at Grogan's pub in the village of Glassan a little further on. The campsite owner is very friendly and makes an effort.

A large campsite on the edge of a beautiful lough, with plenty of unmarked pitches, either hardstanding or on grass, where everyone can set up without any restrictions. All amenities are present, although we don't use the showers or toilets. We spent five days of pure relaxation there, in a simple and friendly atmosphere, surrounded by families of humans, swans, and ducks, clearly happy. A somewhat magical place, highly recommended...

Had 2 nights here on a weekend it’s was very busy and you are pitched very close to others on each side for €41 per night (pitch with EHU) Facilities are ok but no sink plugs in the pot washing area. Staff are friendly and helpful. Handy for the Greenway cycle route Athlone to Mullingar. The Dog and Duck pub is a 5 min walk and it had a good atmosphere and you’ll get a nice pint of Guinness.
