Beata Solitudo

Arriving through the archway of the campsite is quite a special experience. We felt very comfortable there. This was partly due to the very helpful owner, who provided us with information about our hikes on the "Path of the Gods" and in the "Valle delle Ferriere." The sanitary facilities were very clean, and both the shower and washing-up water were hot. There are some good bars right outside the campsite.

We arrived here in a 7-meter campervan. The road there is beautiful and easy to navigate. The owner is friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are excellent and are cleaned several times a day. A small supermarket, bakery, butcher, and terraces are all within easy walking distance. The bus to Almalfi and Naples is right outside. Various hiking trails and other activities are available in the area. For us, it was worth staying for five days.

The road here is fantastic, the entrance to the campsite is great, but then you're shown to the spot and you think, "Do I want to be here on that filthy black sand, tall grass, with old caravans parked here and there?" We first checked out the sanitary facilities; they were neat and clean, and explored the surroundings; they were very beautiful, so we took it all in stride and stayed here for three nights anyway. The showers need some explanation; we couldn't get hot water out of them.
