Dear Marcel. We have repaired moisture damage at your caravan. We discussed in advance that it is impossible to calculate the exact repair costs of a moisture damage, because it is not possible to see in advance how much the moisture has affected the woodwork in the wall. I gave a target price, which I could have put down on paper afterwards. There was a long time frame between the making of the target price and the actual implementation of the recovery. It later emerged that a difference of opinion arose about the upper limit of the estimated costs. A different point than what we could have done at all about the fact that the recovery during the work turned out to be more expensive than the upper limit that you thought we had agreed. Stopping during recovery was also not an option because the caravan was open at that time. We understand that you are not satisfied with the price because of this incident, if it had been on paper, it would not have been unclear. In our view we were still within the margin. Incidentally, we are talking about a very small exceedance of barely 10%, which was mainly caused by the extra work we had to remove the large amount of dried adhesive residues from duct tape in order to then be able to close the holes in the aluminum plating. Holes that we could not see beforehand because there was tape on them. We think it is a shame that you rated the quality and service so low in this assessment, you indicated to us that you are satisfied with it.
