Desolate parking lot on the side of a road in the mud. There were cars and a truck parked, there was no room for a camper. We drove on.

Parking at the speedway for max. 2 nights. No services, parking available for 3 or 4 vans. Quiet night with only one other van. Walking distance into town and to the train station where we caught the train to Munich for the day.

Signposted places in a side area of the Volksfestplatz. Beautiful is definitely something else. But you shouldn't complain about an official parking space in the Munich area for free, but rather be amazed that such a thing even exists. Beautiful walks along the Amper.
