Camping Bürgel

Old, broken, and overpriced! No hot water in the morning — the owner admits the whole campground shares a tiny 120-liter boiler. Bathrooms and showers are filthy for what you pay, and the electrical panel sits in the mud. Photos online are totally misleading. They only care about money. Avoid this place — it’s disgusting!

Perfect location. we stayed here for 5 nights. Cross the bridge and you are in Fechenheim, where you have some nice restaurants (Mano im Engelhof, Fechemer Bootshaus and 5 Way Asian) and a tramstop that will take you to the center of Frankfurt. friendly owners who also have a river-cruise (KD) in Frankfurt. The owners are working on improving the camping. We have a camper, so sanitary is as good as always.

Well, what can you really say about it. On the one hand, a friendly owner and a reasonable pitch with the necessary facilities (except for the grey water discharge point). On the other hand, a somewhat neglected whole. The sanitary facilities are quite dated but clean. Oh well, actually it's fine if you arrange things a bit and the most important point is that you can easily cycle to Frankfurt city from this campsite.
