The campsite is neat, as are the sanitary facilities. Paying electricity separately at check-out is not practical, but good. Food in restaurant adequate, but not special. What is really unfortunate is that places 'on the water' are shielded by a dike with high reeds, so you have no idea that you are also on the water. Beautiful cycling environment with Sneek, Harlingen, Franeker and Leeuwarden a short distance away.

such a nice location, but such a shame we had to park the campervan in a circle facing other camping guests. The owner could not come up with a reason why we weren’t allowed to face the (very smelly) countryside…. he: it is the rule… me: where can I find the rule? he: in the rule book. Don’t be fooled campers, after careful reading the book and the website there is no such rule, just an owner with control issues and a conventional camping.
