Well-organized, Municipality. The Netherlands (and especially Recron) could learn a thing or two from this. In the Netherlands, it's all about €€€€.

Unfortunately, you're required to give at least one star to be able to leave a review. It's a beautiful location, but unfortunately, the municipality is exploiting it commercially, by taking a serious swipe at campers' wallets at this ordinary parking spot. Shame on the municipality. Just look at the rates in Belgium.

What more could you want as a self-drive camper? Just a spot where you can park without any hassle. No unnecessary lines, barriers, parking apps, reservations, no-parking signs, etc. Thanks, Municipality. In France, self-drive campers have the same parking permits as in the Netherlands.

Situated high among the greenery. Very quiet. Just a trash can. That's all a free camper needs. Thanks to the municipality for considering free campers, unlike the Netherlands, where free spaces are not considered. In the Netherlands, it's all about €€€.

A lovely spot between the houses. No shelter from too much sun. Such spots are unfortunately rare in the Netherlands anymore. This is due to the APV regulations, which are largely influenced by the Recron (Regulation of Local Authorities).

This can all happen just across the border. There's no financial exploitation here like in the Netherlands. Here in Belgium, they don't have to deal with Recron, which has a significant say in camper policy in the Netherlands. No stupid APV regulations here. Thanks Belgium.

What a wonderfully peaceful place right on the lake. Here in France, campers truly feel free, unlike in the Netherlands, where you have to navigate between the lines, pass through barriers, make reservations, use payment apps, navigate prohibition signs, pay machines, and deal with other pointless rules.

Another quiet, relaxed town with panoramic views. Here in France, you feel free as a camper without being financially exploited, having to stand between the lines, having to deal with barriers, payment apps, no-entry signs, reservations, and all that same nonsense like in the Netherlands.

Just across the border and you feel welcome as a camper here in Belgium. Here no barriers, apps, mandatory areas clarified with paint stripes, prohibition signs and other nonsense rules like in the Netherlands. In the Netherlands we have the Recron who largely determine the camper policy and they prefer to see campers on the commercial campsite.

Here a few kilometers over the border you feel free as a camper. No paint lines, barriers, APV and all those nonsense rules that are used in the Netherlands which are largely determined partly by the Recron who prefers to see the camper on commercial campsites than on free places. A big thumbs up for the Municipality of Nettetal.

Thanks Belgium for this nice spot on the Scheldt. The Netherlands can learn something from this. In the Netherlands, campers are usually seen as a source of income, especially by the campsite owners, which is why the free camper sites in the Netherlands are increasingly disappearing. This policy is partly determined by Recron. And yes, Recron is there for the recreation entrepreneurs in the Netherlands and not exactly for the free campers.

A camper doesn't need more. Just a place to stand/spend the night. No hassle of signs and APV rules like in the Netherlands, where camper policy is largely determined by Recron. The Netherlands can take an example here. A camper site where you are not financially exploited as in most places in the Netherlands. In the Netherlands, the policy around the camper site is largely determined by Recron, which also determines the policy for the campsite owners and yes, they are not happy with camper sites. They lose turnover with that. Thank you, Municipality of Waregem, for this perfect place.

You are no longer welcome here with your camper. to stay the night. You have to pay to stay overnight. During the day you are free here. This arrangement only applies to campers. This place remains 5 stars. Fortunately, the Recron does not determine the free camper life here as is the case in the Netherlands. Where the municipal APV is strongly influenced by this authority. Here there are no barriers, lines, payment terminals and other nonsensical nonsense to discourage campers from enjoying the beautiful Netherlands. In the Netherlands you are pushed to the commercialized campsites. Thank you Belgium.

What a decline for this camper place. What used to be a casual place is now increasingly becoming a camper place as you increasingly see in the Netherlands. Is increasingly commercially exploited. Too expensive for us for such a small place. I don't pay that amount in house rent yet. If we cross the border to Belgium, there is plenty of room here and you still feel free. Just find out where exactly you have to enter the parking lot. That turns out to be just because of the barriers. A note, maybe a sign at the barrier that this is the entrance to parking. Furthermore, only a lot of praise that this can all be done casually in Belgium. NKC Netherlands may promote such places in the Netherlands more at the various municipalities and the APV rules focus on the camper and not be influenced by the camping exploiters

What a camper needs is a simple place to stand. A water tap and a dump site is nice.
