This is a great campsite, and very friendly owners, facilities are excellent, and definitely a campsite suitable for children, we like to come here

What a hassle, just pay upfront. We've been parking in Emmen for years for nothing. These are average prices in the Netherlands. Most campervan owners are cheap, as we say in Drenthe. We're campervan owners too, and it's normal to pay upfront.

We have pitch 320, which we already thought was an odd spot for a caravan. Now the resident arrives and starts yelling at us that it's her entrance and asking if we could just move out and move to our neighbor on pitch 319. What a strange, unpleasant situation this is! And now she's deliberately blocking our view. This is Camping Hertenhorst, but never again. Word of mouth is a big help.
