this is a great little campsite. a bit different! lovely views. very clean sanitary facilities. great food in the restaurant. quiet.peaceful.country. dogs (& people) made very welcome. love the parrots! 2k from the Canal du Midi cycle path.

I don’t understand the complaints! incredibly helpful reception when our camper refused to start. it’s a great site. very hot showers. very clean sanitary areas. ok not exceptionally modern but absolutely acceptable. gorgeous unheated pool. bar/restaurant- good food at good prices. huge pitches many with lots of shade. under pine trees. water available quite near to most pitches. walk to Llafranc 20 mins. 27 Euros a night including tax and dog.

Big busy site. 20 minutes walk along an off road track by a stream into the Citadel. Large pitches. lots of shade. sanitation ok . 28 euros for one night including a dog. Very helpful reception.

Big site with lots of statics but dedicated areas for motorhomes/caravans. Big pitches. lots of trees/shade on some. Very clean showers/toilets with paper & handwashing but no seats. Good hot water. 25 minute walk into lovely town with lots of restaurants and bars. Not cheap. 72 Euros for 2 nights including 6 euros a night for a dog. Very helpful reception. Great heated covered pool. we’d come again.

great place. need a CampingCarpark card to get in. good water/electric/sanitary borne. paved pitches. delimited by hedges. green. hypermarché nearby. 3k from A20. quiet. fills up early.

Large very Spanish site. Some long term outfits. fabulous sanitation . Very clean lots of hot water good laundry 6.50 for washing 2 euros for drier. beautiful beach but nothing else . Colunga beach has 2 restaurants. one a sideria. cafe at campsite small supermarket. 56 euros for 2 nights. no ACSI even though it was ACSI period !!! But good camping on this coast is difficult to find because of rain others along the route were very very muddy.

an absolute gem of a site. peaceful. spotless sanitary block very hot water which can be temperature regulated. small swimming pool. excellent restaurant in village - 15 minutes walk - La Marinera need to book if public holiday or weekend. site has small restaurant serving breakfast lunch and diner and a small bar! we paid 25.50 euros with ACSI for a motorhome 2 people plus a dog. if you like peace and quiet this is it!

would have been 5 stars but power not on. agree with all previous reviews. quiet spot. water bins chemical toilet dump. nothing else. a lovely green quiet place to overnight!

agree with a lot of others. parking on two sides of road. both exceptionally muddy after rain - be very careful when parking. lovely views up the coast. very expensive 42.50 for 2 people electric and motorhome. captive audience comes to mind - no competition. large new sanitary building on field side of road. rustic! short walk into town. 15/20 minutes to Gaudi El Capricho.

Excellent overnight stop. Wooded grass pitches. Quiet.Clean sanitary block with good hot water. very helpful reception open from 17.30 for one hour. Can be booked ahead . List on wall of those pitches already taken or pre booked. so find another to park on. advisable to book in busy times as it’s small and convenient for the autoroute. Bit difficult to find. Swimming pool adjacent - possibly free to campers? 20 euros with hook up for one night.

Fabulous! Quiet, peaceful after the hustle of the Costa sites. great views. no electric. bring drinking water. not much shade. sewage disposal. tasting of olive oil& tours available. Equivalent to a UK Certified Location, French Passion or Agrotourismo in Italy.

A natural campsite in a fabulous National Park. Alquézar is an amazing place and beautifully restored and kept. Site is rustic. clean sanitary facilities . Hot water. Awkward driveways to the pitches. Can be very muddy in wet weather! Lots of walking, mountain biking etc. Wonderful birds - Griffon Vultures, eagles etc. Recommend it if you like nature.

A large busy site. Great position just off the Promenade and a 20 minute walk to the Castle/shops/cafes. Aldi 15 minute walk. Great pool. Very clean sanitary facilities despite the site being full. Hot water, no push buttons. Pitches are a bit short and some have awkward trees. Careful manoeuvring is required. Worth the cost for the quality of the site and its position. 23E with ACSI. Booking advised.

This is the most fabulous site which we never usually say! It needs a slow careful drive down the very bumpy unmade road but more than worth the effort. The sanitary facilities are modern and spotless, lots of hot water. Pitches are spacious and divided by hedges.Access to the National Park is a step away. Great walking, mountain biking and beautiful deserted coves to swim in (shingle beaches)! The pool is beautiful. This is nature in the raw!

this is a great site if you don’t mind being close to your neighbours! very busy site with no dividing hedges and smallish pitches. sanitary block absolutely brilliant. clean modern lots of hot water. excellent bar/restaurant. no sun beds on the pool side . why? lovely pool. 4 star because of the sanitary block but 3 for pitches!

this is a lovely wooded site. simple but very clean sanitary block. restaurant/bar. in a fabulous area for biking, mountain biking, walking etc. Sarlat about 20 minutes away. lots to do and see in the area. swimming pool.

very busy site. typically French. animations still running in September. lots of cabins and statics. beautiful pool. rather dusty pitches although many have welcome shade. some very close together others less so. sanitary block ok but water could be hotter. no toilet seats or paper or hand wash. great if you want fun for children and a pool side holiday. about a mile to walk into town.

this is a municipal site with a Camping Card site next door . 15 euros a night. lot of shade helpful reception and pizza Van every evening. quiet. sanitary block is tired and not very clean. often the fault of the clientele. 3 footprint toilets. no paper no seats. shower water just warm enough in hot weather probably too cool in colder weather. ok for a night stop in an area where there are few campsites convenient for the autoroute.

OK for a night. Free electric hook up. Water 5 euros. Just a car park really. But quiet.

Lovely site. Everything a five star site should be. Clean showers and toilets. Very hot water. Beautiful, large pitches under trees. 23Euros with ACSI card. Right on the Loire à Vélo cycle route. Cafe, shop, boulangerie in the village. Bread etc. to order. Bar and restaurant. Not cheap! Lovely pool.

lovely campsite in town. large pitches, 6amp electric showers etc. clean and green little site 13euros. it’s a campcarpark site so you have to join for 5 euros. this can be done at the barrier and does take a few minutes but once done means you have a card to use in all their sites. there is an app to download with all the airs/sites on.

good site with electric and water on pitches. clean sanitary . muddy when wet. walk into town about 10 minutes. Le Poulet Noir excellent but expensive (around 16 to 23 Euros for main course). Le Prieuré de la Charité worth a visit (free). Town very quiet out of season. on cycle route.

beautiful position for a site right by the lake but end of season is scruffy. Toilet block very clean but old. Site needs some serious TLC but don’t reject it as the walks and cycling are great and the lake is gorgeous.

Despite what it says on this App this site is open until 30/9/22! great site lovely pitches by the river. shade on some. clean sanitary etc. good cycling and walking near bye.

Fabulous aire - see other reviews for details. everything people have said is right. if you go beyond the water/chemical disposal borne past the nautical centre - places with hedges and electricity are lovely. Fill up with water first! Shame other aires along the canal are so disappointing ! well done Fontet!

Very small messy site. Small pitch. Old sanitary block. Don’t recommend it at all. only 5 places and 22.50 euros.

brilliant little Aire. Peaceful after the clock stops at 10 pm. Friterie is excellent - huge portions of chips and burgers. 6 km from A26/A21!
