Visited on July 20 and 21, 2023. Great overnight stay. Nice and calm. We stood on the newly constructed parking lot (gravel surface). Unfortunately, everything is skewed. On arrival we were the only ones, so we could choose a good level spot (it took us half an hour to find it). It was drizzly weather with low clouds, so the 6 km walk (3 km back and forth 3 km back) was not done. Recommended.

Beautiful place to stay with a beautiful view. Toilets available (but almost full), across the street are new parking spaces for the top to climb to the Särkitunturi. A beautiful but tough walk also starts there. Is doable, a few benches along the way, and halfway through the route there are toilets and a fire pit. quiet at night, during the day many people who park to photograph the view, which makes sense because that is beautiful.
