On arrival (Friday) we found the parking places would be closed for tomorrow morning market. So we moved out onto the street adjoining the car-park. Power box is free and there is a toilet in the corner. No problems but it does start to get noisy from 5.30 on as the market people arrive. Nice town for a short walk.
Sitecode: 13707
A lovely little village on the wine trail. All facilities in good working order and free electricity. Nice little bar in the Centro. A quiet evening by ourselves.
Sitecode: 13633
Other than the hassle of walking up to the Marie (200m) and getting a key, this is a wonderful stop. There is a toilet to drop the black water, a filler hose near the toilet/ shower block, hot water, basins, bins and free electricity ! There is no grey water drop facility, but a bucket then down the drain is a fix. Apart from that the town is amazing.
Sitecode: 53033
Excellent location, but much closer to Cernobbio, than Como, if your catching a ferry. A long walk to Como, but we used our scooter. The sosta is relatively new and all automated. Expensive considering electricity and services are extra, but its Como. Some nice person left €3.50 credit on the power board, so ours was free for 3 days. There is an old men’s club and a soccer pitch across the road
Sitecode: 11150
A lovely location for €10 per night, the electricity is €1 every 6 hours, which is too expensive, so we didn’t. Water is available at every pitch, but there are no drainage facilities. A new ‘aire de camping-car services point is under construction about 100m down the hill. I imagine it will be ready in a month or two. Bard/Hone is lovely and the Opera Fort Museum special.
Sitecode: 11145
This is just a car-park to visit the fort. Suggest you cross the river and use the proper sosta in Hône, its about 500m away.
Sitecode: 46573
We arrived mid-afternoon to find the Aire full, spoke to a couple of those in situ a we parked on the entrance ramp without blocking anyone. Within another couple of hours the place was full with another 3 vans double parked. So be early. It’s now out of season and a free sign is on the gate. The services all work, just be a man and hose everything down when you finish !
Sitecode: 56032
Whilst Cluny is a lovely town and we enjoyed the Abbey. €10 to park overnight with no services other than a bin is a rip. You must sms your rego to some number and someone calls to pick up the money, if not its €22 fine. Electricity only works when the street lights operate. So good in winter, bad in summer. Too many rules we moved to the free car-park 50 metres away.
Sitecode: 44775
As it has no services only a six stars, but its a popular location and its free. There are no services and even a bin is 200m. You can easily walk uptown or to any of the gondolas from here. This car-park is popular with locals and they get irate if you take up more than one spot. I watched a German van pull up laterally across 4 spots. Very un-German of him, it started started a real drama.
Sitecode: 5800
We arrived to find the boom fixed up, a temporary sign indicating it was free, with no electricity. That suited us fine. At the gate it states €20 in ski season, being winter and €15 out of season. NIce quiet spot, services work and we enjoyed a nice meal and a drink up town.
Sitecode: 70750
A little off the track if your doing the SS43-SS42, however the sosta is well maintained offering fabulous views up the valley. We thought the €15 expensive, given the electricity flicked off in the early evening. Anyway we still enjoyed the sound of cow bells going to bed. When you get close follow the signs not your GPS.
Sitecode: 5737
Lovely village but a little remote from the sosta which is located at the sporting complex below the village. All services including electricity appear to be free. Level pitches with a lovely view. Could be better, but only with free beer !
Sitecode: 23625
We arrived to find the sosta full. Not with motorhomes but large transportable buildings probably associated with the carnival set-up in the Centro. Random people hanging around, so we moved on. Maybe OK other times.
Sitecode: 46448
There are no facilities here, but the formal sosta with services is only across the road. If you have a paid parking ticket (€4) you can use the sosta for free. This car-park is closer to the beach and seems safe to us. Very popular with Austrian and German travellers. Grado is a lovely town, but its a long walk. Scooter or cycling is best. A local bus runs from the nearby sosta.
Sitecode: 5699
We used the sosta facilities here, which are free if you pay to stay in the €4 car-park across the way. If you need electricity I suppose its worth it. The barriers were broken and fixed in the open position during our visit to Grado. A gateman is on duty in the mornings for a couple of hours ?
Sitecode: 48190
This sosta is well located and reasonably priced, given it’s Venice. The staff are helpful and the showers, toilets and sinks cleaned regularly. It’s a long walk to or from the bus or tram stop especially when you returning late and tired but better than €37 for just parking on the other side of the causeway. There is shade and plenty of space. Electricity was extra, but we didn’t use it.
Sitecode: 6379
Cannot give it more than a 6 as it has no facilities. However it is convenient to Modena. About a 1 klm walk straight into the Centro. There is a laundromat about 3-400m toward the centro on the left. We had a quiet night with several other campers and it was free after all !
Sitecode: 4585
As per the previous review, handy for a 3-4 hour visit to Assisi (which is amazing). There are toilets here, but there is a proper service point back near the sporting complex car park at St Domiano. Either go through the barrier and pay €1.80 if you need full service or just park near the gate and walk in to empty the cassette, then its free !
Sitecode: 4649
Spello is a lovely town and well worth walking up the hill to visit, particularly in the early evening. The sosta provided a safe and quiet spot for the evening. The services have not been maintained for some time, the grey water dump can be used and there is a tap and bin. At €8 too expensive, like our Italian neighbours we did not pay.
Sitecode: 4622
A great sosta in a lovely hill-top village. At €5 with electricity good value. Mind you payment was optional our German neighbours paid at the machine as did we, but it must be free for Italians as I did not notice any of the 3 Italian motorhomes go near the machine. Facilities are included but you need to use the toilets to empty the cassette. There is some shade, couldn’t find any laundromat
Sitecode: 4668
Todi is well worth a visit. This car-park has a tap at the entrance corner, a couple of bins and a coin operated toilet at the top level. The walk up town by either the stairs (400) on the eastern side or the roadside footpath is steep. There is a regularly shuttle bus to the top. There is no camper access from this point on. But we had a quiet night it was and it was free !
Sitecode: 6849
Agree with Suk, large free carpark, handy to Sutri and a walk around the Tufi Archo Park. No services but it was free !
Sitecode: 9458
Small car-park at the end of a very nice village. No service but a toilet is nearby to empty the cassette. €3.50 per day, but cheaper in morning or evening for a hour or 2. If you plan on visiting the tombs, there is a nice free car-park and toilet there as well.
Sitecode: 4987
Very good for a tired old campsite, lots of shade, facilities reasonable clean and a service point. The lake is clear and clean for a swim and relax. The village of Marta is nice but not motorhome friendly.
Sitecode: 11075
It’s free and it has services also for free. WE shared this sosta/car-park with several other motorhomes. Be early or come after 5pm when it empties out. Very quiet night during our stay.
Sitecode: 19922
I believe there is some confusion regarding this Sosta, the photos are the car-park across the road. The area is neglected. But there is are several working taps in pits around the site. The grey, black water is the usual long trough of Italian style. Good safe location, not perfect but free.
Sitecode: 62866
We stopped here for 2 nights whilst visiting Salerno and Amalfi. We used our scooter to get about, but the train station is only 100 meters away. The sosta has a proper security fence and a guard until 10 pm. There is card access after hours. The area seems a bit low rent, but the adjoining park is very nice. Very little shade. Reasonable priced, there is a good Carrefour 1 klm to the east.
Sitecode: 47056
We stopped here only to use the facilities, everything works and its free. The cassette drop is under a plastic lid below one of the taps, don’t poor it down the grey water grate, which most Italians seem to do. It was a hot afternoon so we drove up to the Polish Cemetery. Lots of shade and its much cooler up there. As well as being free !
Sitecode: 9166
Free parking outside the Altilia Saepinum Archeological site. Little cafe across the way. All very friendly and a quiet nights sleep after visiting the site. We entered via Sepino which is a little longer but a better road.
Sitecode: 20666
This is essentially a farm stay, power and water available for €10. The place is neat and tidy, the view spectacular. After chatting to the family we had dinner. It was a wonderful meal of simple country Italian food but at restaurant quality. About 5 klms to Santa Severina, we rode our scooter back in for the day. Highly recommended would give a 10 but no toilet dump.
Sitecode: 15306
This huge sosta has electricity and water, level hard stand and a fabulous view. It doesn’t have waste facilities, but then again its free ! We have a scooter and used it to visit Gerace, maybe 500 metres away but uphill. Well worth a stop.
Sitecode: 9258
This shared car-park is on two levels. There are no services. But you can walk up to Gerace from here. There are no signs that indicate payment is required. If your visit is concluded best drive down the hill to the sosta, its free.
Sitecode: 60056
This Sosta provides a fabulous view, but a long walk to Scilla. We drove into the sosta at 4pm and parked as instructed. We were told €22. Went down to Scilla by buggy. Dropped into the hotel to pay, the price changes to €25. Then he tells us to pay €2 tourist tax in cash to the attendant. Return at 7pm only to be told to move, so more motorhomes can squeeze into the sardine can. I refused !
Sitecode: 53636
We arrived to find 30 or so old caravans and motorhomes more or less permanently sited here, mostly here for use by the locals on weekends. Nice view, but full sun and nothing but a toilet nearby. I wouldn’t plan on being able to stop here unless its in winter and the local authority move some of them on.
Sitecode: 50610
From our experience. We arrive to find the gate locked. It is obviously a small sosta run from the adjoining house. Read the signs and ring the number phone number as listed with the +39 prefix. The lady answered in Italian, but we manage to arrange for her return to the site in 10 minutes. It was not cheap in season at €22+ but worth the wait. Clean, well appointed, great pool. Very helpful.
Sitecode: 7892
As previously described, however at 10pm a knock on the door. No air-conditioning he states. It is still over 30c, no breeze and he wants me to turn off the a/c. What’s the point of a powered site in the middle of summer if you cannot turn on your a/c.
Sitecode: 56915
Seems like a new aire, adjacent the railway line and the bus interchange. Free but water etc extra. Only official parking for 4 with 2 service points, however there is plenty of room for overflow parking. Supermarket close by its an easy walk to the old centre.
Sitecode: 10457
A free stopover with the usual facilities. Water a jets on = €3. Place is being used as a drop of Point for truck trailers. Truck come and went all night, very noisy during our visit.
Sitecode: 29956
As previously stated a 10 minute walk in the centrum. However all the pitches are set on a steep slope. Even on top of the ramps I could not get the van even close to level. Obviously the engineer doesn’t own a motorhome. Lastly €3 for water is extortion.
Sitecode: 6732
Nice clean gated stellplatz. I can be a little difficult to enter and depart if there are a few vans trying to do the same. The service point is tight as well. Close to railway line, but we didn’t hear anything. It’s a beautiful village, lots to see. The gondola is worth a ride to the top as well. Bit overpriced but Germany is getting more expensive we have noticed.
Sitecode: 335
This very busy stellplatz is well located given the P&R bus, but its a nice walk downtown anyway. There are several walking a cycle paths from the stellplatz. As per the previous review €10 + for the water and electricity. Building work is underway next door but all quiet after 6pm.
Sitecode: 23180
This is a lovely parking spot on the grass overlooking the water near the ferry crossing. That's what you get for your SEK100. There are no facilities. A bin can be found close to the ferry near a closed cafe. We ask about a locked toilet also near the cafe and were told we couldn't use it.
Sitecode: 8353
Well located to visit Stockholm. Situated under a road bridge, it also has a public car-park in the centre. As such its a bit noisy. It is also expensive but then again you are within walking and cycling distance of Gamla-Stan. The metro is only a few hundred metres away. Staff are helpful, but ring and book a spot in advanced. They control 2 sites so make sure you book the right site !
Sitecode: 28062
Not as previously described. An old local campsite on the edge of Seinajoki. €16 plus €4 per person, electricity another €6. It could be the most expensive site in Finland. It a long walk back to town. There is a small shop on site.
Sitecode: 49274
This is a relatively new stellplatz at the rear of an old campsite /conference centre. Great wifi but we think its very expensive at DKK125 especially as water is extra.
Sitecode: 12763
Farm stop 6 klm from Jelling. No one was around so every was locked up. It a nice spot with a lovely aspect, but too expensive at DKK90 to just park on the gravel. Hence the score.
Sitecode: 14472
This farm stay is 5 klm west of Vibørg and the cycle route is nearby. The owners are lovely people and very helpful. Power is handy at no extra charge €10 or KRR75 per day. Water is available but no toilet dump. Ask for the wifi key but you need to park close to the house.
Sitecode: 27966
Long stay carpark opposite the Lidl. There are a few dedicated motorhome spots over near the fence next to the royal mail exchange. The mail exchange started getting noisy about 5am. But we rolled over and went back to sleep. £1 to be legal overnight is good for the UK. Not even a bin though ?
Sitecode: 20290
Great free aire on the canal at Watten. Only a small aire but quiet for the night and less than 30 minutes to the ferry or chunnel. The services worked when we were there ? Didn't use the water due to expense. Some sites had a laminated sheet next to them, we thought it was some reserve thing. But its not, so don't worry about them. Nice village, an excellent bread shop and a couple of taverns.
Sitecode: 21950
Full service aire in the commercial end of town. Lovely sites, excellent facilities and a washing machine. Wifi only works up close to the office building. The boom gate was not working and the caretaker had to attend to let us out. Another MH indicated it was the same last year. Supermarket is close as is the sewerage treatment works, but it only seemed an issue if you walked past.
Sitecode: 29390
As previously described this large carpark has a motorhome parking section up the back. Seems a little isolated, but we had a safe and peaceful night. The price is right, free and its obviously convenient for your visit to Monet's water garden.
Sitecode: 25476
The best type of French aire, free. Don't let the boom gate put you off, just press the button. All the usual services. The road is a little noisy but didn't disturb our sleep. The village is nothing special, but its a pleasant walk.
Sitecode: 43626
Convenient spot to park whilst visiting Fontainebleau. The access road is atrocious so drive very slowly. Easy access though the gate into the chateau. Not sign posted for motorhome parking so we decided to move on to Milly-le-Foret after our visit. Safe enough as the gendarmerie is about 100m away.
Sitecode: 1216
This aire sits on the Marne Canal just outside Chaumont. €7.40 was tariff but I have no idea how the manageress came up with that figure. She arrived in the late afternoon and made everyone move closer to each other. By dark we were like sardines in a can about all about a meter apart. Excellent cycle path along the canal but Chaumont is up on the escarpment and best reached by road.
Sitecode: 21393
Very pretty little stop over spot adjacent the canal quay. Electricity and wifi included although the wifi only works near the bar. Pay at the same bar across the canal. We found the road a bit noisy, but its a nice view to wake up to. The old town of Epinal is well worth a walk, particularly the church.
Sitecode: 341
Small free stellplatz near the sporting fields. Only a few dedicated spots all with good shade. The service point is a little inconvenient as it stands on a corner. Water €1. Waldkirch is a little ordinary but the Castleburg is well worth a morning walk. The marktplatz has a few interesting cafe etc.
Sitecode: 51808
Not a stellplatz but a free parking area designated specifically for MH. Adjacent to a mini soccer pitch. We came to Gutenbach to walk the Simonswaldertal which was well worth it despite the weather. No services other than a bin. There is only one cafe in town. Its only opened in the afternoon. They serve a fabulous black forest cake !!!
Sitecode: 3196
Free stellplatz on the Danube in Tuttlingen. At the far end of a large public carpark, €1 for water. It proved to be a very quiet spot overnight. The town itself is fairly ordinary, there appears to be a significant refugee population. There are some excellent cycle paths along the river, so well worth a stop for that reason (try the path to Mohringen).
Sitecode: 277
Imagine a world where every village had a stellplatz like this one. Wide sites, excellent service points etc. The payment machine is like a fancy video game. Close to the therme which was an experience we would recommend, but a long walk to the centrum. We came to Waldsee to visit the Hymer museum which is also interesting.
Sitecode: 319
Small stellplatz well back off the main road, so good for a quiet night whilst visiting Ravensburg. Parking level will require ramps. More than 15min walk to town but only a few minutes by bicycle. Lovely old town with lots of towers. A small shop just up the hill on the right for bread etc. There is an old house just up from the stellplatz, with cars coming and going, very mysterious ?
Sitecode: 299
Small stellplatz in front of a large camping area on the lake. In line parking as the photos indicate, ramps required for most spots. Unless you can reverse park, you may be lucky to fit in. The road is noisy most of the time. On the other hand its less than 10 min walk to town even less to the ferry terminal. There is a small shop and showers etc in the adjoining building. €13.20 seems expensive.
Sitecode: 1880
This small stellplatz sits in front of a huge campsite. At €12 it was expensive given electricity is an extra €3 which we didn't take. There is wifi but that's extra as well. You get use of the campsite facilities which are first class. Sitting on a the lake adjoining a marina it's a nice stop. The marina has a nice bar and the restaurant on the opposite side of the marina was good value.
Sitecode: 409
We stopped and lunched in this very expensive carpark on the outskirts of Landau. There is a free P&R bus, but given the parking rate its not really free. We found better less expensive options further along the lake.
Sitecode: 370
This stellplatz is well located to visit Fussen and Ludwig's castles by bicycle. Couple of supermarkets nearby and an expensive breadshop. Good size pitches, with a little grass here and there. Restaurant was closed during our stay. The wifi was poor, but we were up the back. Its very busy so be early if you want a spot. Book your tickets for the castles online a couple of days before.
Sitecode: 5305
Scenic stellplatz on the outskirts of Garmisch. We thought it expensive, given power is an extra. Although you get a bus pass included. Its a very busy place which filled every evening. Long queue to pay with a equally slow check-in process. Facilities are very clean, washer and dryer handy but expensive. Easy public transport to the Zugspitze. Ramps needed for most pitches.
Sitecode: 6897
An aire in the corner of a large carpark. Its a little tight in some spots and large MH may have problems. Plenty of shade but be early as it was overflowing by mid afternoon. Well priced at €5 including power, water an extra €1. Ingolstadt is a very pretty place, don't miss the Church of Marie Victoria and the Audis.
Sitecode: 3316
A carpark with a motorhome sign. As previously mentioned some vehicles appear to have been here for some time. There are no services but its free. It seems a little isolated on the edge of the parklands, but we had several other MHs for the night. Its a great spot if you intend visiting the Nuremberg documentation centre and coliseum.
Sitecode: 421
This carpark is not dedicated for motorhomes unfortunately and was being used by some itinerant workers at night living in station wagons and small vans. Hence its noisier than it should be and the toilets overused. On the other hand its free and backs onto a beautiful park and has an excellent bus service to the city. There were plenty of MH there so we didn't feel unsafe. Great city to visit.
Sitecode: 3273
This stellplatz is on the canal at the P&R stop. Its a 5-7min cycle ride or a 15-20min walk to the centre of old Bamberg. At €12 its expensive given the services station was not working and power an extra €.50 a kw, the pitches are tight and there is considerable road noise. On the other hand it's close to Bamberg and its a great town to visit.
Sitecode: 15179
A modern stellplatz with the usual services and electricity. €4 per 24hours. An extra €1 each for water and dump. Boom gates are a hassle but that's Germany. Attendant told us it was €4 per calendar day expiring at mid-night, but it seems he doesn't understand how the machine is programmed which is per 24 hours. Nice spot on the canal, with cycle path to the centrum. Bargain at €4 !
Sitecode: 21714
Large carpark that allows overnight parking for €2 per day, free on Sundays. Park over the east side near the park for a quiet night. No services but a toilet is very handy in one corner. Less than a 10min walk to the centrum, the Horch Museum is better reached by bicycle or vehicle. Nice town, great museum.
Sitecode: 3890
This stellplatz has all the usual services however the sites with electricity are limited. Some of these photos are of another site. The large building behind has now been demolished. There was no machine, you pay at the centre office about 300m further up the road. Handy to Dresden centrum and the Elbe. Some shade, an extra €1 for services, the free wifi was hopeless.
Sitecode: 5830
Excellent stellplatz adjacent the zoo carpark. All the usual services and electricity. Pay and get the key from the zoo office. Good shade and easy access by bicycle to both Branitz Park and back into Cottbus which is well worth a visit and walk around. Keep your eye out and you will see deer wandering the area in the late afternoon or early morning. Nice place to stop for a day or so !
Sitecode: 690
Not a stellplatz but a free dedicated motorhome parking spot. A little isolated being on the edge of town but it is very quiet. No facilities other than a bin, handy to swim in the lake which is just below the parking area. Zetel is a little non de script but good for a transit stop.
Sitecode: 8834
Its a nice quiet spot and an easy bicycle ride to the beach and coastline. There is a great restaurant and supermarket just up the road. Services are available for free at the stellplatz at Dormumersiel.
Sitecode: 9288
Not an aire but a dedicated motorhome parking spot. €8 per day, but free overnight. Nice shady spot with a couple of small restaurants nearby. Short walk to town, but visiting the nearby castles is best done by bicycle. Wifi available at the tourist office.
Sitecode: 15831
Camperverhuur Vonk is more like a farm stay than an normal campsite. The proprietors are a lovely family and so helpful. The site has great wifi and clean facilities. At €18 it is reasonable priced. Set on a green field about a kilometer from Winssen village. On the down side the farm is a feedlot surrounded by other farms used as feedlots. The flys are something of a nuisance and screen are needed
Sitecode: 12244
Small aire near the canal port. In line parking only allows 3 spots for medium size vans. Services such as toilet dump, shower and toilet and wifi available at the port, electricity at the aire itself. The pitches require ramps to get close to level. Traffic crossing the bridge is noisy. However Amersfoort is a lovely town and well worth the stop at €5.50. The Port Manager will find you.
Sitecode: 18325
Stayed in this huge aire in August. It was full and overflowing up to the adjoining car parks. Whilst it is well located to visit Amsterdam, its overpriced, but that's Amsterdam. The ferry leaves regularly but its a 15 minute walk to the ferry. The services all work but the morning queue to use them are long, the wifi hopeless. We found it very noisy, cramped and dusty.
Sitecode: 19433
Not an aire, but dedicated motorhome parking on the canal in the Schiedam. Despite no services good value at €6.60. Apart from waking up with a view of the windmills, the metro station is 150m away as are a few great Turkish restaurants. A number of interesting bars and cafes in the Schiedam maybe 10 minutes walk. We loved Rotterdam.
Sitecode: 28148
Not really a proper aire, but dedicated motorhome parking along the quay side at €15. Nice aspect, electricity, great wifi and friendly staff. Not really handy to Oostvoorne except by bicycle. The services are over one side and a bit of a hassle to access, but everything works. Great spot to relax for a couple of days in our opinion.
Sitecode: 221
This large aire sits in front of Camping Roompot. At €14 we thought it expensive, but there is little choice in North Beveland other than illegal perking. All the usual services but there was little else in Roompot to interest us.
Sitecode: 239
This large aire is well located on the canal near central Bruges. The pitches are small and the cost exorbitant at €25. Careful of the check in-out times. The rubbish bins adjoining the aire are atrocious mostly it seems from the tourist busses which park in the carpark next door. Its an easy bicycle ride to the centrum.
Sitecode: 49678
We often stay in Ypres coming and going from Dunkirk. The free spot adjacent the canal is now actively discouraged by the Police. Anyway the copper sent us here. Its new this year and fully automated, reasonable at €8 with power. But its well out of town about a 15 minute walk. Best by bicycle to the Gate and Clothes Hall.
Sitecode: 13105
A very popular aire, it was full so we parked in the turn bay across the road, with another motorhome. Free but €2 for water. Arras is a wonderful Flemish city, but the cold town is a long walk from the aire. Best done by bicycle.
Sitecode: 548
A small aire with services. There is a carpark across the road if no places are available. Some road noise but it quietened down by bedtime. Doullens is worth a wander.
Sitecode: 21677
Our first French aire in 2016. The new aire was full so we overnighted in the adjoining carpark, which is probably better as it is level. The services all work, water and electricity €2. Montreuil is a lovely town, the Citadel and Museum also worth visiting.
Sitecode: 26440
Handy for a day in Arnhem, although it's a 15 minute walk to the centrum. The signs indicate you must parallel park and pay by using some app that you cannot download or use without an internet connection. Apart from electricity there are no services. A previous comment is correct the locals use the waterfront as a shortcut so look out.
Sitecode: 6567
This is a very neat stellplatz, but very expensive given Xanten is not Berlin. Lots of signs and rules as is the German way. The office also serves as a beauty spa ! 10 minutes walk to the centrum.
Sitecode: 824
A stellplatz in front of a large campsite (camping Munster) €15.50 with all the usual services including electricity. Nice spot with some shade if you arrive early. Small shop in the campsite. 10-12 minute cycle ride on the dedicated path to Munster centrum.
Sitecode: 2590
A small stellplatz adjoining a large carpark next to the swim centre. Nice shady spots with power. €8+€2 electricity+€2 water is a bit expensive but you get free admission to the pool. Nice town, but the cycle path along the canal was beautiful. A little noisy in the afternoon if the weather is hot (kids).
Sitecode: 696
A very large stellplatz with very small pitches. €15 includes electricity. 5-8 minutes walk to a very ordinary beach. The cycle paths along the dykes are well worth a couple of hours. Lot of touristy shops and not much else.
Sitecode: 689
Large handstand parking area for motorhomes not far from the center of Zetel. Power is available, but the machine is activated by token €1= Token=1kw. They can be purchased from the petrol station across the way. No other services but a toilet near the bus stop about 100 metres away.
Sitecode: 4154
Stellplatz adjoining parkland 5 minutes walk to Rathaus. €3.50 the usual services including electricity. Key from TI as previously described. About 20 minutes by cycle path to Bergen/Belsen. Very nice town to wander as well.
Sitecode: 9567
This stellplatz is well located to visit Hamburg. About 10-15 minutes by bicycle to the centrum or walk up the street and catch the S-Line train (one stop). Noisy with traffic and the overhead S-Line so close, but it quietens down in the evening. While electricity is supplied, its set very low, we could not even run the vacuum cleaner. There is a nice Italian Restaurant up the road.

Located in the upper corner of the P4 carpark. There are no services, but it's only a short walk across the carpark and over the canal to the old town. The road behind is a little noisy but it didn't worry us. At €6 it's expensive but cheaper than the €10 for the media carpark just up the road. Lubeck is well worth a visit in any case.

This small private stellplatz sits on a lake about 10-15 minutes by bicycle path to Schwerin Schloss. Nice tidy place with a pleasant aspect. There is a shower available at extra cost. €11.50 includes electricity. The grey water dump is a bit of a hassle but otherwise all good.

This stellplatz is the only we could find close to Berlin. A 10 min walk to Tegel Railway, then 20 min to Friedrichstr Station. €21 includes the usual services and electricity. A washing machine and dryer is available. There is some road noise and the staff abrupt. Tegel has some nice taverns for dinner etc.

We stayed at Panorama Camping based on the recommendation of a fellow motorhomer. Panorama is up the hill from Goreme. Set on a series of terraces the sites provide great views of the valley. There is a great pool and a common lounge area. The wifi worked well and a washing machine is available. A little overpriced by Turkish standards but it is Cappadocia.

This Aire is on the Black Sea waterfront on the western side of Inebolu. No one appeared to collect money. There is a toilet/shower block near the courts. There are several small restaurants nearby and the town centre about a kilometre to the east.

Large level carpark with shade and a service point over in one corner. Well located a few hundred metres from the center of town. Reggio is a good stop over spot transiting the A1. Lots of cars during the day but fairly quiet at night. Supermarkets are too far to walk, about 5 minutes drive. It's a nice town to walk or cycle.

Convenient Aire to Old Florence. Bus stops directly outside, but it an easy walk down to the old gate from the top of the hill. We caught the bus back in the late afternoons. There is a small bakery/shop about 100m down from the aire, not much else handy though, the supermarket is a few klm away. There is only parking for perhaps 40 Motorhomes, the markings are for small cars.

This location is as it appears in the photos. However there was a locked gate on the drive about half way along, so only parking on the entrance way was available. It's a pretty little port town with a couple of cafes and a supermarket.

There are two separate parking areas at this location. One a typical secure Otopark, this has some shade, it's a good spot to park for your visit to Safronbolu. The second is an Aire with the usual facilities, this is build on a set of terraces up the hill. There is no shade here and we thought it too expensive. Safronbolu is a very pretty little place, lot of narrow laneways, but very touristy

We recorded this site as the Otopark Amasra. It's a well located secure carpark, which allows overnight parking. Easy walk into town, only 100m from a swimming spot. There is a toilet block, which we used to empty the cassette, but no usable water. Cost TL10.

Otopark Istanbul is well located, a short (although fairly steep) walk to the Blue Mosque. However it is really a secure carpark (TL30) with cars and buses coming and going most of the night, so it's a bit noisy. There is a toilet to clear blackwater, but no tap, 20L water containers can be purchased at the gate. On the Bosphorus, its location makes up for its shortcomings.

Driving into Eceabat, we noted the open area indicated on the map, but it was completely vacant. We drove another 100 metres turning left at the road-about stopping adjacent the waterfront. Parking in a marked spot we asked the owner of the taverna if it was OK to stop there. He said yes no problem. No facilities, but quiet and safe, with a wonderful view of the Bosphorus.

Arsenis Tavern is a convenient spot for an overnight whilst visiting Meteora or Kalambaka. Although you would need to drive to either. Located on a crest overlooking the valley it's a scenic spot. The host was a very friendly guy, but is obviously keen for those stopping overnight to have a drink and dinner, which we did. The food was the dish of the day, but mumma is a good cook.

We stopped in at this community campsite to service our camper, the lady charged €2. It was clean and tidy, it was about half full mostly with families hooked up to power. Didn't see the point of paying to stay there as there are kilometres of beachfront parking, just avoid the sections marked in blue. Lots of wild camping Motorhomes so fairly safe. The train line is noisy, but it's free.

We were originally planning an overnight in Ravinna but no luck. We followed another motorhome to this Aire in Cecenitico. Easy to find just of the main road. A well laid out Italian Aire with an excellent service point. The were probably 50 Motorhomes packed in the night we stayed. A bit of road and rail noise but it's free !

This carpark is ideally located on the canal opposite the old town of Dole. There are no facilities but there is a service point at the other aire located at the aquatic centre. This carpark adjoins a large sporting and entertainment facility so there is a lot of traffic coming and going. On the night we stayed it was very noisy till midnight. But the price was right.

This carpark is adjoining a large aquatic centre, however it is not really within walking distance of the old town in Dole. However the facilities as listed make it a great spot to service the motorhome. There was no shade so after servicing the van we headed into town and stayed at the other site on the canal.

Easy to find just turn at the canal. We spent the late afternoon parked in the shade on the opposite side of the canal and moved over to the actual carpark on dusk. No facilities, but it was quiet and the price was right. It's a lovely walk or cycle along the side of the canal in the morning. There is also a nice little tabac bar with excellent wifi up near the bridge across the canal.
